In this review we are presenting the Acer Aspire 5740G the Dedicated graphics line from 5740 series. This Acer 5740G is available in India at two price ranges. The lower priced one is powerd by Core i3 Processor and “ATI Radeon HD 4570 512MB VRAM Dedicated Graphics”. The higher priced 5740G is powered by Core i5 processor and “ATI Radeon HD 5650 1GB VRAM Dedicated Graphics”. The price difference between these models is about Rs-4000/- but it is difficult to feel the performance difference if you use these laptops for normal day to day office jobs and Internet Browsing.

Weighing about 2.8KG and looks average on it’s cobalt blue. The best part of this laptop is the graphics which is good achieving 30fps on heavy killer games with moderate settings. The audio from the Dolby®-optimized surround sound system with two built-in stereo speakers is loud to fill a mid sized room, but when you speak about the audio clarity you better buy a good head phone or external speaker for listening music and to play games with good sounding effects.
The keyboard is almost a full sized keyboard with good typing feeling for touch typists with numeric keys on the right. You will feel the UP/DOWN/SIDE arrow keys are very small if you use it to scroll through the spreadsheet cells very often.
The WiFi which is InviLink™ Nplify™802.11b/g/n with the Acer SignalUp™ wireless technology is gives a good transfer even upto 50feet distance. Also you have Crystal Eye Web
